It's 9:30pm Saturday night and Jeff and I are here visiting our little girl and having some nice quiet time with her. She's cuddling in with daddy in the rocking chair here while I write up her daily blog. We haven't come in the late evening yet so this is something different. It's kind of relaxing to be honest. Jeff looks very relaxed here, almost falling asleep with Olivia, so adorable!
Today was another good day for Olivia. Nothing much has changed and we are still waiting on her new weight for today. They weigh her at night. Perhaps after the cuddle session with Daddy they will weigh her. Will let you all know. Maybe she will be up at 1.5 pounds tonight?:) She is up to 4.1ml of milk per hour now so that's an improvement!
This afternoon Jeff and I came by after we did some more shopping therapy. This time it was Jeff's turn to shop! He ended up buying some new shoes and using a gift card he got from his loving Sister, Julia, for his birthday which was back in August. I forgot my gift card (also from Julia) so i'll have to head back another time to use it. I'm going to use it to buy some nursing tops:) I've already picked them out I just have to go back and get them. I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get them:)
After our shopping therapy session we headed over to the hospital to visit our girl.
This afternoon we met our friends, Brian and Hilary, who came to visit Olivia for the first time. (I forgot to get a photo so if you're reading this Brian and Hilary remind me to get a shot of you with her!).
After our visit with Olivia we all went out for dinner at 4 Mile Pub. It's been awhile since I've been out and done anything normal. Was nice to just get out and visit instead of being locked up in either the house or hospital where I'm either pumping milk, cleaning pump supplies, eating, packing up my bag to go and sleeping.
It's been half an hour and Jeff and Olivia are still cuddling:) They're having a much better cuddle session than the last time which was only 20 minutes so that's impressive! Go Daddy!
I'm getting sleepy here so I'm going to end this blog a bit early here. Might read a short story to Olivia while Jeff is rocking her.
Tomorrow will be a big blog post day! Olivia will be 3 weeks old! So hard to believe! Where does time go! Stay tuned for her new weight and new blog update tomorrow! I'll try to update her weight if I get it before you read it but no garentees!
For now, sweet dreams and goodnight everyone! Thanks for reading!
