Moving forward to the more exciting things now...
Today was a very special day for Olivia and I! Seems like there have been a few of these days but today was extra special!
Today was the last day Olivia's Grandma (Eleanor) was here to visit her for awhile (my mom) as she is headed home this afternoon to head back to work. Grandma Eleanor has been a huge help over the past few weeks, thank you! We will miss you! Come back soon:)
After my mom left to catch the ferry I had a chance, for the first time this week, to spend some time alone with my dear princess. First of all I got to change her little diaper again. (super cute!)...She didn't seem to mind me changing it this time. After changing her diaper comes the special part! She was in stable condition and I was able to hold her again this afternoon! The special part is that I just didn't get to hold her for a few minutes or an hour, but for 2.5 hours! She could had gone longer but somebody had to use the bathroom:) I don't have diapers on like she does, haha! She is such a sweet cuddle bug! She did so well that she even got her oxygen down to room air! (They turned off her oxygen machine for a brief moment as she was doing so well and was just breathing room air. Shortly after though they had to turn it up a bit but not much! She was so relaxed and breathing well!). Here we are cuddling:)
Quick update on her weight, it's the same as yesterday as she gets weighed every evening. We left before she got weighed so you'll just all have to wait until tomorrow:P
Last note here before enjoying a friday evening with my husband (by the way, it's been officially 3 weeks since I was admitted into the hospital! Time has gone by so fast!). Jeff and I came home from our evening visit with Olivia and checked our mailbox and Olivia got her first mail! "Olivia Jane Siemens" it was labeled! It was her social insurance number:) You may not think that's very exciting but to us it is! Makes things more real with her name on mail now!
Hope you all are enjoying reading Olivia's blog as much as I am writing it!
PS: Don't forget to comment somewhere as to "what was your favourite childhood book that you remember as a young child?" from the previous post:) Would love to hear your answers:)
Signing off now! Have a great night and stay tuned for more good news tomorrow! (finger's crossed!).
