Good morning everyone! Hope you're all doing well!
I'm yet again behind one day in my blog postings. Because of this I am going to try a new approach to keeping up to date here. I know you all probably don't expect me to blog every day but it's a) therapeutic for me b). fun! and c) addicting!. So, instead of blogging every night I'm going to try blogging in the mornings when I have more time and energy. Think it might work a bit better. I'll be changing the subscription delivery time as well so you'll get it during the day now:) Let's see how that goes, shall we?
Moving on now to Miss Olivia!
I didn't get into the NICU until later in the afternoon yesterday. I was working on a special project for Olivia which you'll see in the next post as I forgot to take a photo of it last night! Whoops! I think it turned out great!
I got to the NICU around 5:30 last night just in time to do her handling as well as hold her. I got to hold her for about an hour and a half last night and it was the best hour and a half yet! Olivia didn't have any episodes! No alarms, no fussing, nothing! I think part of it was perhaps the new nursing pillow I got last night off of VarageSale. The lady who sold it to me off of VarageSale was very kind in giving it to me for free too! It's called "My Brest Friend" nursing pillow. It's an awesome pillow! Unlike tradition nursing pillows that just wrap half way around you this one goes all the away around you and has back support! This is a very good feature as Olivia is so tiny that if I had her with a regular nursing pillow she's fall right through the gap in-between the pillow and my tummy. The "My Brest Friend" pillow is very snug around you. It was so comfy and relaxing to hold Olivia and perhaps nicer for her as she didn't fuss! All she did was look at me and smile for about 30 minutes! (She wouldn't go to sleep haha!) Took her about 35 minutes to actually get to sleep! That' okay though, I love looking at her while she's awake:) Here we are enjoying our new pillow!

Oh, and speaking of gifts! Yesterday afternoon when I came back from walking our dog Tucker I came home to a gift bag sitting at our front door. I was surprised and confused as to who it was from. The label was to: Baby Olivia! Here's what I found outside our door:
I took it inside and opened it. It was the cutest little tutu and pair of shoes from Alysha and Bill! I used to work with Bill at Save On Foods a few years ago and we've kept in touch since. He was actually my department Manager at the time I was hired! I miss working there with all those awesome co-workers. Luckily enough I can still head over to my Save On and say hi to everyone!
Here's what was in the bag:
Here's what was in the bag:
Olivia is going to be the best dressed girl on the block with all of the nice clothes she's got! New hats, shoes, Tutus! What a lucky girl!
As for Olivia, nothing much has changed. I will be getting her updated weight this morning so will be sure to let you all know if she's up to 800 grams or not today...fingers crossed! She's so close!!
Sorry, this is post is a bit disorganized, but before I log off today I wanted to share with you one cute thing Olivia did last night while I was holding her. After she was done her dinner I decided to put her pacifier in her mouth to see if she'd suck it. Guess what? She did! She's a sucking machine that little one! She loves it. It's apparently good to have her suck on her pacifier while she's eating or just after as then she associates sucking with the milk. I've posted a video of her sucking on her soother HERE. It's super cute so be sure you don't miss this one!
That's all for a now. Going to head out now and do some errands but be sure to check back for updates!
