Today I am 2 weeks old!
- I like to be held and rocked skin to skin
- I like to hold your finger.
Today was a special day for Olivia. Grandma Eleanor (my mom) and my Godmother, Maggie, came over from the mainland to visit her. It's been a week since Grandma Eleanor has seen her and it was Maggie's first time. She was pretty cute today! We had a nice visit with her this evening and I even got to hold her for half an hour as well. That was her limit today. I'm happy just to be able to hold her for a minute so 30 minutes was great for me:) I love to hold her, she's just so sweet!
Okay, this is too cute! I have to show you this!
Maggie, my Godmother, brought over this ridiculously cute card for us that had a pair of really tiny pink baby booties on the front that were just decoration. They were so tiny we thought they would fit Olivia! We had to cut the back of the booties to get her little tiny foot in without hurting her but they fit her!! So adorable! All the nurses came by and were laughing at how cute it was! Only got a quick photo with her wearing them as she kicks them off, haha. Here she is!
Today she finished her last dose of IBu and tomorrow we will all find out if her PDA has closed up. If not, she may have to have surgery to close it. Hopefully that will not be the case though. We will keep you posted on this.
Olivia gained a bit more weight last night and she is now up to 575 grams. She is slowly creeping up and hopefully this week she will hit 600 grams:) That'll be a huge milestone for her:) 600 grams is equivilant to 1.3lbs. She was born at 530 grams which is 1.1lbs. The difference may be small but it's huge for her.
Today was a good day, let tomorrow be as good or better:) Night everyone!
