Well, our little munchkin did it today! She is 625 grams today and gaining slowly everyday:) Her IV is officially out of her tiny hand and is on 100% milk feedings now. She is getting 3.71ml of milk per hour at the moment but as of tonight she will be at full feeds at 3.9ml an hour:).
Olivia had her echocardiogram this morning and it showed a little progress on her PDA closing. Still not fully closed but it's slowly closing on it's own. The doctors and nurses are going to continue to monitor her closely so see if it will continue to close on it's own. As she grows bigger it should close on it's own. Surgery is their last resort and apparently it's only done a couple of times a year on babies. So, finger's crossed, she will be a lucky one. She's already been super lucky...maybe she has my lucky horseshoes that I have? :)
Today I got to visit Olivia twice. Once early in the afternoon and again this evening. When we first got there she was sound asleep. She was super cute and cosy! After her napping session she did something that was super exciting that she hadn't done before! She opened her eyes WIDE today for the first time for a good long time, watching me and the world go by. It was super cute! I had never seen her that awake before for that long. Here she is:

I'm also going to post a video up of Olivia of her watching me which you can view here. It's amazing that she's only 2 weeks old (29 weeks gestation this Wednesday!) and she's already so alert!
Anyways, dad is up at the hospital visiting his little girl tonight with Auntie Julia (Jeff's sister). She sure is a lucky girls to have all these loving people to love her.
We love you, Olivia! Keep up the awesome work!
