Yes, this will be another double post as I was too tired to post last night. I wonder why? haha.
Let's start with yesterday's milestone shall we? Olivia has reached 30 weeks gestation and gained weight yesterday! She was up to 690 grams! You'll have to keep reading this post to find out later if she gained or lost weight today:)
Yesterday I had a chance to visit Olivia twice. Once in the afternoon between teaching sessions and again in the evening where I got to hold her again.
Jeff and I headed into the NICU around 9pm last night after we had dinner where we had a chance to visit our little girl again. When we arrived she was wide awake! She seems to be a night hawk like her mother! (you know the saying, like mother like daughter!).
Soon as we arrived the nurses got her prepped for coming out and being transferred to my chest. It's a lot of work to get her out but worth it:).
Once Olivia and I were settled I decided to read her a book. I pulled out "The Little Duck" from her drawer in her bedside table. This is one of my childhood books that my mom kept for me when I was little. So glad she kept all my books! She has quite the book collection!
I started reading to Olivia and oh my goodness it was so amazing and cute! She seemed to be very engaged in the book and listening to my voice! She was looking at the pages and watching me. Every time I turned a page she followed my hand while turning! Was so exciting to see! Although she can't really see what's on the page too clearly she can see shapes and defiantly hear my voice! It was so cute! Here we are reading together!

Isn't she just the cutest?? Hard to believe this coming Sunday she will be 4 weeks old! Where does time go?
Oh, also, I should mention Olivia got some more gifts yesterday. She got thec cutest pair of shoes from one of Jeff's co-workers, Dave and Jade, who are also expecting their first little girl this December! Our due dates were actually a couple of days apart! Look at this adorable shoes! Hopefully Olivia will fit into them by next Christmas and will wear them at the next company Christmas Party:) Thanks, Dave and Jade!

Olivia also received another hat yesterday from one of my students, Toni. She found this super cute premie hat pattern and knitted her this adorable hat! Olivia now has 4 hats in her incubator! Lucky girl! Her hat collection is almost as big as mommy's! Thanks Toni!
Now, moving on to today's post! Here we go!
Olivia reaches over 700 grams!
Yup, you read it right! Olivia is 729 grams today! (1.6 pounds!). She is slowly growing and she even looks bigger today even from last night. Don't know how that's possible but it's true!
I was in this afternoon after my doctor's appointment (which went well and I got the green light to have coffee again! I can't wait!! Starbucks here I come!). I dropped Tucker off at daycare (our dog) downtown and then my friend Jane picked me up downtown and gave me a lift to the hospital where we had a nice afternoon visit with Olivia. Olivia was a bit feisty this afternoon as apparently she had had a lot of handling earlier and it was a bit to much for her. After awhile we just left her alone and watched her through the incubator to let her calm down and rest. She seemed a lot happier then.
As for Olivia's progress not much as changed today other than she gained weight. The Neonatologist came by this afternoon (one I haven't met yet! There are a few in the NICU!) and just gave me a run down of Olivia. He basically said that they are just going to keep watching Olivia and not do anything at the moment about her PDA (heart murmur). He said that as long as she continues to grow and her lungs don't get any sicker she's okay for the moment. Will keep you posted on her progress.
Going back to our visiting session now...Jane and i only visited a short while as I was getting tired and had to have lunch. I'm actually here at Janeese Place writing Olivia's blog. It's nice and relaxing over here. I'll be heading back shortly to go have an afternoon cuddle with her. Jeff will be arriving at 6:15ish to see her after work.
I haven't been able to take a daily photo of Olivia today yet but will be sure to get one when I head in to cuddle her shortly here. You can never have too many pictures!
Speaking of which, it's 5:20pm and I should start heading back over to the NICU. I will post an update along with a photo of her later tonight if I remember.

Two hours later....I'm here finishing her blog:)
Just came home from the hospital with Jeff just a bit ago. I got to hold Olivia tonight again. Such a cutie! I promised some photos of her today so here they are:) I wore my new shawl I bought from Walmart for pumping milk but turns out it's perfect for holding Olivia as well! She liked the soft blanket! Here we are!
